 Media 5.0 is a business intelligence tool that displays highly targeted information through an intuitive dashboard. The Media dashboard displays complex data graphically so that you can easily notice trends and identify exceptions. Its enhanced graphical interface transforms raw data into useful information that helps you make informed business decisions.

Media 5.0 provides you with an enhanced analytical tool that displays information in a dashboard on your PC. Media transforms data from corporate databases into clear and comprehensive charts to help you better understand the performance of your organization. Version 5 gives you enhanced control over all graphical aspects of the dashboard. For example, pre-defined themes let you quickly change the entire look of your dashboard. User-created themes can be saved and re-used. Images and custom colors can be applied throughout the dashboard. And the new Default Chart Properties dialog gives you the power to make global changes to any chart property.
Media 5.0 also includes numerous other enhancements, including smart labels, diagnosis and glossary notes in tooltips, a zoom feature, new display formats and improved 3D graphics.
- New Enhanced Graphical Interface — One of the biggest changes in Media 5.0 is the improved graphical user interface. Images, patterns, gradients and custom colors can be applied almost everywhere. Charts can also be displayed with or without title bars and borders. In addition, a wider variety of charts can use 3D graphics. Usability enhancements include tooltips, which display glossary and diagnosis notes when you mouse over results, and a handy zoom feature that magnifies a given area of a chart or graph. Smart labeling has also been implemented to optimize chart space, and context buttons can be added to the dashboard interface.
- Dashboard Themes — You can completely change the look and feel of your dashboard by applying one of the pre-defined themes that ship with Media 5.0. Themes help to ensure consistency across your organization. You can also create a customized theme that can be saved and reused in other dashboards.
- Global Default Changes to Chart Properties — The Default Chart Properties dialog gives you the power to make global changes to chart properties. This dialog sets defaults for all of the charts, buttons and text boxes in your dashboard. These defaults are applied to any new charts you create but can be overridden whenever necessary. Like themes, default properties speed development and help to ensure consistency throughout the dashboard.
- Greater flexibility with color, images and font — Media 5.0 provides you with more options in applying images, patterns, gradients and custom colors. Every part of the dashboard can be customized, including the dashboard background, chart foregrounds and backgrounds, legends, buttons and text boxes. Opacity controls help you create subtle color effects in your charts. You can also specify different font colors and sizes for each object in the dashboard.
